Colt Cabana - "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to another edition of FIW Independent Television! We're back in the FIW Arena, and this is our last transmission until we begin the Best In The World Tournament!
CC: But it looks like we're going to be dealing with a different kind of "best in the world:" the best hardcore wrestler in the world, Rob Van Dam!
CC: This guy is good and he knows it! I still can't get over what we saw at "As Good As It Gets" between RVD and Mondo! That was the most insane ladder match I've ever seen.
CC: And the way he beat Mondo, I don't know who's going to take that belt off of him.
CC: Uh oh! That's Keith Williams in the entrance way! He's not here to wrestle, he's got something to say to RVD. This is going to be interesting.
KW: RVD...the whole f'n show. You know, you're certainly living up to that name. I mean, let's get it out there...you're undefeated in FIW. Nobodies been able to beat you since you've been in this promotion. That means it's on my shoulders to come up with some true competition for you. Let's see just how good you are RVD. I've been making some phone calls...I've been getting some numbers...and let's see if you can run the hardcore gauntlet. Stop one...RIGHT NOW!
CC: Keith Williams is bringing in some guys to specifically challenge RVD? This just got a hell of a lot more interesting! Who's his opponent tonight?
CC: HOLY SHOOT! THE SANDMAN! The Sandman is here in FIW!! You want to talk about hardcore wrestling, the Sandman's name is going to show up!
CC: And Sandman brought the beer with him too!
CC: And the FIW crowd gets a taste of Sandman's cold one! This is one challenge RVD cannot take lightly.
CC: HOLY! RVD just vaulted into the first row! Sandman is down! Man, beer's not the only thing the crowd is getting drenched in...they've got a big glass of RVD too!
CC: And now RVD just dropkicked Sandman in the face right off of that guard rail! Well I have to say, RVD isn't taking Sandman in his usually lax nature. This is a more focused RVD. I guess he knows the kind of threat Sandman can be to his hardcore title.
CC: And the pace is slowing down, but I bet this is that part of the match where we see weapons coming into play.
CC: And now it looks like RVD's taking somebodies seat...literally! And I don't mean he's landing in the front row...somebody just handing him a chair!
CC: And Sandman is bringing a table into the ring! Now things are going to get hardcore.
CC: And Sandman has his Singapore cane in hand too...
CC: And now we have a showdown!
CC: RVD ducks the shot...
CC: ...And gets caught on the rebound! Sandman just smacked that chair right into the face of RVD!
CC: RVD just using his feet there to end the momentum of the Sandman.
CC: And RVD just destroying Sandman with his version of a shoulder thrust.
CC: And RVD is using that table Sandman brought into play earlier.
CC: RVD just powering Sandman onto that table. A lot of people underestimate the raw strength of RVD. He ain't no slouch in the gym folks.
CC: RVD goes up, but Sandman wasn't as out of it as RVD might have thought...well, he is out of it, but you know what I mean.
CC: Oh no...this isn't what I think it is...is it?
CC: Frankensander! Sandman just sent RVD crashing into that table! That was an ugly looking exchange, but damn if it wasn't effective!
CC: And where is Sandman off to?
CC: RVD is moving now after careening through that table.
CC: And Sandman has found a ladder! I'm getting flashbacks to that ladder match with RVD and Mondo!
CC: Sandman bringing that ladder over...
CC: WOW! RVD just seesawed that ladder, catapulting it right into the face of Sandman!
CC: RVD setting up the remains of that table in the corner...
CC: Sandman making his way back into the ring here.
CC: WOW! Sandman just sent that ladder right into RVD's face! That was unexpected.
CC: And now Sandman's up on the top...
CC: HOLY! Huge Rolling Rock by Sandman, sandwiching RVD under that ladder! But Sandman just cost his back a bit there!
CC: And Sandman setting up that ladder in the corner.
CC: And another cane shot to the head of RVD!
CC: Sandman setting RVD up in the corner...
CC: WOW! RVD reversing the irish whip, sending Sandman head first through that table!
CC: COVER!!!!!!!! 1...............2......
CC: No! Sandman kicking out at two!
CC: And RVD is staying right on Sandman here...
CC: RVD with that chair in his hands--his weapon of choice.
CC: HOLY! RVD tossed that chair at Sandman, but Sandman had none of it, answering with a huge DDT onto the chair!
CC: While RVD's trying to figure out what arena he's in, Sandman is introducing another table into the mix!
CC: RVD is up, and he's going back to that chair.
CC: And now he's ascending the ladder. This could be the deciding spot in this match.
CC: Sandman has that table set up...
CC: FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! THROUGH THAT TABLE! RVD tossed that chair into Sandman's face, and finished by dropping the splash, 12 feet off that ladder!
CC: RVD still keeps the hardcore title, but if that was only the first hand picked challenge, who else could Keith Williams possibly have to face RVD next??
CC: Colt Cabana is back with another installment of Hype Central! Ladies and gentlemen...it is upon us! Our next show hailing from the FIW Arena will feature round one of the Best In The World Tournament. This tournament is the brain child of Keith Williams, and here's the idea. 8 of the best wrestlers in the world will compete against each other in one on one matches. The winners advance until we have a final one on one match between the two winners, and the winner of that match will face the world champion to truly find out who is the best in FIW! It all kicks off on our next show which will feature all four opening matches! We don't yet know who will participate in the tournament, but rest assured: they will be the best in the world!
CC: And there he is, the FIW world champion, the Necro Butcher.
CC: Necro Butcher finally achieved the unthinkable last year, defeating Raven and gaining the world title. Tonight, Keith Williams has enlisted the so-called "best in the world" to challenge the FIW champ.
CC: This is the first one on one match Necro has had since winning the title, and it sounds like it might be his toughest.
CC: Woah...hold on a minute! That's Bryan Danielson! HOLY SHOOT! Danielson is here in FIW! When the title "best in the world" is thrown around, Danielson is certainly a name that always revolves around the conversation.
CC: Bryan Danielson going up against Necro Butcher! Man, Necro has never had to face an opponent like this!
CC: This is interesting. KW has brought a true test for Necro Butcher, and we'll see what Necro's answer is.
CC: And right out of the gate, Danielson backs Necro into the corner and the ref is breaking it up.
CC: Danielson with a clean break, but he receives a punch to the face for his troubles!
CC: And now Danielson is taking things to his area, grounding Necro.
CC: Danielson slaps the armbar right on Necro, and he's in trouble here...
CC: And right when Necro begins gaining some ground, Danielson brings things back to the ground.
CC: And Danielson has that LaBell Lock on Necro already!
CC: And Necro gets to the ropes, and the ref is getting involved here.
CC: And Danielson finally breaks the hold, and I think the ref is about to hear it...
CC: Yup, he's got until 5!
CC: And Necro needs to gain some offense here. He hasn't faced anyone like Danielson in FIW, and he's obviously out of his element.
CC: Necro with another punch out of desperation...
CC: And Necro with a huge backdrop. This is his opportunity.
CC: Necro looking for a suplex here.
CC: Danielson reversing it into a Norther Lights Suplex with a bridge!
CC: Only a one count there, but Danielson has the momentum.
CC: And Danielson setting up what looks like a bow and arrow hold! On man, Necro's really about to get stretched!
CC: WOW! Danielson is wrenching back and stretching Necro in a big way!
CC: I don't think I've ever seen this before! Danielson drops Necro acrossed the ropes, hanging him out to dry! Danielson is putting Necro through the ringer here!
CC: Danielson doesn't seem to mind the ref attending to Necro...
CC: And there's Danielson with the dropkick right to the head!
CC: Uh Oh! If this is what I think it is, Necro's about to get pounded!
CC: MAKE IT STOP! Danielson just raining down those elbows on Necro! Necro's tough, but I don't know if even he can take this!
CC: IT'S OVER! Cattle Mutilation! It's locked in! This could be it!
CC: The ref is calling it! Necro taps out! WOW! Danielson just submitted the world champion in his first night with the company!
CC: I can't believe what I'm seeing! Necro is down! Bryan Danielson just walked into FIW and make the world champion submit!
Danielson: So this is the best the FIW has to offer? Keith Williams said he wanted to test his world champion, and I guess he failed. And that wasn't even that difficult! I mean, I'm surprised at how easy that was!
Danielson: Hey KW, why don't you come out here and give me that world title. Maybe if you put the strap on me, you'll save yourself some embarrassment.
KW: Believe it or not Bryan, this couldn't have gone better for me. Let's wind the clocks back and look at the world title picture in FIW: Necro Butcher, Raven, and Cactus Jack. What do they all have in common--yes, they're hardcore wrestlers. Fast forward to right now. I set up the Best In The World Tournament because I want to make sure the FIW champion is the best there is, which leads to this match. Everybody knows you, Bryan Danielson, are one of the best wrestlers in the world. And you proved my point: Necro Butcher may not be the best wrestler in the world.
KW: Necro Butcher's win was a great story, but that story might be coming to an end. Might. You see, this wasn't a title match; this was a test. The world title will be on the line in the rematch, but the rematch is going to even things up a bit. If you're truly the best in the world, you can beat Necro...in a no DQ match!
Danielson: I'm not hardcore, but I am the best. I'll beat Necro in any match. And whoever wins that Best In The World Tournament, I'll beat him too.
CC: Danielson beat Necro Butcher, but he's not the champ. We're going to see what happens when Danielson takes the fight to Necro in Necro's element: hardcore rules! But that's not next time. Tune in next time for the first round of the Best In the World Tournament! 4 one on one matches! Get ready for the best wrestling you'll ever see!
