Colt Cabana: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Federation Independent Wrestling's Best In The World Tournament Round 1. The setting might appear odd to you because we are currently broadcasting from Greater Richmond Convention Center right here in Richmond, VA! FIW just keeps on expanding as we attempt to meet the demand of our fans.
CC: And speaking of meeting the demand of our fans, there's the man who makes it all possible: Keith Williams! Tonight, KW is bringing you his brainchild, the Best In The World Tournament! Tonight you will see 4 one on one matches featuring 8 of the best wrestlers in the world competing to face the FIW world champion.
CC: This crowd is about to see some of the best wrestling in the world today, and FIW will truly be able to say our world champion is the best in the world!
CC: Let's see what KW has to say to this capacity crowd.
KW: Folks...THIS...IS THE FIW! And tonight, you will see the first installment of our Best In The World Tournament, appropriately titled, Debut Revue! It's a fitting title because you're going to see quite a few new faces in the FIW ring tonight.
KW: You see, I searched the planet for 8 men who represent what professional wrestling means today, and these 8 men will truly elevate the world title division of FIW into legendary status.
KW: So ladies and gentlemen...THE BEST IN THE WORLD!
CC: Well I'm certainly pumped. Let's see who starts this thing off!
CC: Oh boy. Here's our first new face of the night - Roderick Strong!
CC: This guy is one of the toughest, most technically sound wrestlers going today, and even without seeing who he's facing, this is going to be an amazing match.
CC: It's great to see Roderick Strong in an FIW ring.
CC: Wow...wow. Is that? That's Low-Ki! Low-Ki is in the FIW!
CC: This is set to be one of the stiffest matches in the history of the FIW! These two men don't pull their punches, and especially not their kicks!
CC: I'm getting that big fight atmosphere here folks. The Best In the World is off to an amazing start with this match up!
CC: Let's get it on!
CC: We've got a lock up to start, with Roddy going to the back.
CC: Strong going for a lift, but Low-Ki crosses the leg and stops it.
CC: What an enzugiri kick by Low-Ki! Ki like a ninja, landing on his feet right after that. And the kicks have officially begun in this match up.
CC: But if I know Strong, he's got a stiff shot to return the favor...
CC: Uh Oh! Strong with a stiff knife edge chop right to Ki, and Ki looks pissed!
CC: And Strong with another hard chop...
CC: WOW! Low-Ki used the momentum off that chop to return with a huge overhead wheel kick! That was nasty man!
CC: This Low-Ki is evil man. I mean, some guys are stiff, but this guy just gives off that evil vibe man.
CC: Oh my shoot! Low-Ki with another stiff shot right to the chest of Roderick Strong!
CC: And another one! This is just sick!
CC: Strong with a schoolboy roll up! 1..................2..................
CC: Man, Strong almost stealing one there!
CC: But I can't blame Strong for trying to put Ki away quick here. I mean, the longer this goes, the stiffer things'll get.
CC: Strong sending Ki off the ropes...
CC: And nice move by Roddy there. He had the Tidal Wave scouted there, and took to the floor.
CC: Low-Ki just taking out Roderick there with a huge suicide dive through the ropes! That was brutal!
CC: And Ki's smart here, staying right on top of of Strong.
CC: Just a series of brutal chops by Ki. I know Strong has some impressive knife edges of his own, but Ki is Ki.
CC: Oh no. This doesn't look good...
CC: Strong with a chop of his own here, and perhaps he can sway the tide here...
CC: HOLY FREAKING SHOOT! Roderick Strong with a huge high angle back drop on the ring apron! He's the messiah of the backbreaker, and Low-Ki's back could be broken here!
CC: Strong smells blood in the water here, rolling Ki right into the ring.
CC: 1...............2......................
CC: No! Low-Ki somehow kicks out at 2! What a match this has been so far!
CC: Strong has to keep things going on Ki here while he's still recovering from that drop.
CC: Strong going for a roll up here...
CC: HOLY SHOOT! Low-Ki rolled through the roll up and just ghetto stomped Roddy to hell! What a sick thud that was!
CC: And Ki is still geared up for the kill...
CC: Wow...how much punishment can Strong take...and how much can Low-Ki dish out! Huge running dropkick to Strong sending him crashing into the corner.
CC: HOLY SHOOT! Ki with a cartwheel spin kick! That killed Roddy! Ki can end this now!
CC: Well this scares me....Ki's not going for a cover. He's going to the top rope.
CC: Low-Ki going for that Phoenix Splash but Roddy rolls out of the way...
CC: SICK KICK! Roddy barrels through and just levels Ki! The echo of that shot just rang through this whole building!
CC: HOLY! Roderick Strong with that huge gust buster! This has to be it!
CC: Oh, Low-Ki hugging those ropes! That's the experience of Low-Ki right there, keeping himself alive in this match.
CC: Strong muscling Low-Ki up off the ropes...
CC: HOLY FREAKING SHOOT! WOW! Low-Ki just pounced off the shoulders of Roderick Strong and ghetto stomped him down from a standing position! That was the most incredible move I've ever seen!
CC: Cover! 1...............2..........................
CC: .........3!! Low-Ki advances in the Best In The World Tournament with a victory over Roderick Strong!
CC: That was an impressive outing from both men, and Low-Ki looks to be an early favorite in going ahead as we look to crown the best in the world!
CC: And it's nice to see a familiar face here, with Chris Hero competing for a shot at the FIW champion.
CC: Hero should not be taken lightly here. I mean, this guy has defeated CM Punk to win th Pure Title, as well as picking a win up against Desmond Wolfe at our show in Indiana.
CC: Oh my...wow. Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe is here in the FIW. The whole landscape of this tournament just changed. Joe's in a whole different league as far as size goes. This changes things man.
CC: Joe getting a huge reaction from this FIW crowd, and this is going to be an amazing encounter.
CC: And there's Hero with an arm drag on Joe. Hero showing Joe right off the bat that he can go with the big man.
CC: And there's Joe's rebuttle. Putting the breaks on Hero's irish whip attempt.
CC: Joe just cloberring Hero with a huge clothesline that knocks Hero to the mat.
CC: And there's the stiff offense Joe's known for. Huge chops, kicks, and a knee drop that shook the ring!
CC: Joe with a vicious chop to Hero right there!
CC: And Hero answers back with one of his patented forearm shots.
CC: And a huge boot to the face of Joe. Smart strategy by Hero. Utilizing strikes in favor of grapples. Why exert all of that energy lifting Joe when he can just kick him in th face?
CC: Speaking of patented moves, Hero locks on the cravate!
CC: WOW! Hero just hurling Joe with a huge cravateplex! Man, you could feel that crash landing!
CC: And he wasn't even done! Hero with a huge senton splash to put the exclamation point on it!
CC: COVER! 1.................2........................
CC: And no! Joe forcefully pushes out! Now the reality sets in. Joe just took all of that offense and kicked out with purpose. Now we're gonna see how Hero can deal with an angry Samoan.
CC: And Hero's answer is to just keep the offense coming with more forearms in the corner.
CC: But Joe takes the wheel with a huge chop of his own!
CC: HOLY SHOOT! Joe with an enzugiri that sent Hero crashing to the outside! That's the kind of force behind Joe's kicks!
CC: Oh no...he can't be. Is Joe looking to fly here?
CC: OH MY SHOOT! Joe flew alright, he flew right into the guard rail! Man, this might be the opening Hero needed. Joe taking himself out here.
CC: Hero wisely getting Joe back in the ring to capitalize on that huge crash.
CC: Hero working over Joe's stamina here. Springboard tope atomico taking the wind out of Joe once again.
CC: Woah woah! Hero looking to end things here with a Hero's welcome?!
CC: HOLY! Joe showing off his raw power by reversing Hero right into that Island Driver! That was brutal!
CC: Man, those chops by Joe are echoing through this building.
CC: And Hero going back to what works for him here with the strikes! Big boot right to Joe's face!
CC: WOW! Knockout roaring elbow shot! Joe just toppled on that one!
CC: Hero setting Joe up, looking to go high risk here.
CC: And Hero gets crotched on the top, Joe playing possum there! This could be dangerous right now.
CC: HOLY! Thunderous powerbomb by Joe, and he keeps hold for a cover! 1................2........
CC: Woah hold on a minute! Joe breaking his own pin, turning Hero over.
CC: Joe locks on the STF! Man, Joe’s just showing his dominance there, opting for a submission victory when he might have had it won with that powerbomb.
CC: But Hero’s no amateur, getting his foot to the ropes to force the break.
CC: Joe stalking Hero here. He has Hero reeling, and he needs to capitalize.
CC: And I know what this is folks! Joe setting up for the facewash!
CC: Hero ducked the final boot in the corner, and he’s caught Joe!
CC: Cover! 1………….2…………..
CC: No! Joe still with plenty of life in this contest. Man, this match has been a back and forth, hard-hitting affair, and it’s not over yet!
CC: Hero looking for something in the corner...
CC: Thunderous slap from Joe! Hero’s chest must look like Christmas under that shirt!
CC: WOW! Joe with a huge enzugiri that caught Hero way up on the top buckle! Hero is out!
CC: Muscle Buster!! Holy shoot, this has to be done. Nobody gets out of the Muscle Buster!
CC: 1……….2…………..
CC: ………3!! Samoa Joe advances to face Low-Ki in the semi-finals! Man, this match was amazing, and seeing Joe face Ki is going to be brutal!
CC: Joe is here in the FIW…and things just got a little bit more serious.
CC: We’re back and Kevin Steen is making his debut here in the FIW! Man, Kevin Steen could be a wild card in this tournament. He’s tough as nails and like Joe, he’s a great combination of speed and power.
CC: Steen’s around 250lbs, but this man can moonsault and swanton with the best of them.
CC: And speaking of moonsaulting and swantoning with the best of them…AJ Styles is in the FIW! Holy shoot this is big!
CC: AJ Styles is one of the most well rounded wrestlers I’ve ever seen, and this is going to be a very interesting match up. Steen has the power advantage to AJ’s speed, but both men are definitely no slouches when it comes to mixing it up. This is going to be good.
CC: And Steen starts things off with a stiff punch right to AJ’s face!
CC: Ladies and gentlemen, that is the kind of wrestler AJ Styles is! Huge forearm before dishing out one of the sweetest looking dropkicks in the business! AJ’s fired up now!
CC: Steen’s biting Styles! And that’s the kind of wrestler Steen is folks! This guy will do whatever it takes to win, and he’ll have fun while he’s doing it!
CC: Steen relinquishes his teeth from the arm of Styles…
CC: Styles with a stiff kick right to the chest of Steen…
CC: …and Steen uses the momentum of that shot to come back with a huge clothesline that floors Styles!
CC: Holy! Huge somersault legdrop by Steen! All of that weight behind it…man, Styles must be knocked loopy!
CC: This doesn’t look good…Steen with AJ up for a powerbomb…
CC: HOLY SHOOT! AJ reverses the powerbomb and rannas Steen right out of the ring!
CC: No way! Styles calling for the Styles Clash right there on the floor!
CC: Steen with a backdrop, but Styles lands on his feet…
CC: HOLY FREAKING SHOOT! Styles went for a hurricanranna on the outside, but Steen just reversed it into a powerbomb to the apron! Man, Styles just crumbled up like an accordion!
CC: And now Steen’s mocking Styles. I know that’s how Steen rolls, but it’s not really helping him win this tournament.
CC: HOLY SHOOT! Styles taking flight with a huge springboard clothesline! That one just leveled Steen!
CC: Steen with a head of steam, misses a superkick attempt on Styles…
CC: HOLY! AJ hits the Pele kick! He caught Steen right in the back of the head!
CC: Styles can feel it! Victory is in his grasp!
CC: Styles looking to go to the top. AJ has so many moves in his arsenal he can pull out from the top, and most all of them can put his opponent away for the three count.
CC: WOW! Styles hit a picture perfect Shooting Star Press, except Steen wasn’t there! This is Steen’s opportunity!
CC: Steen locking on the sharpshooter! Smart wrestling by Steen, targeting the legs of Styles! If he can ground him, Steen has this thing won.
CC: Styles reaches the ropes, but I think the damage was done on that hold. Steen needs to stay on top of the legs on Styles for the rest of this match though.
CC: And there it is! Big stomp to the knee! Steen is no slouch in the ring folks.
CC: BOOM! Somersault legdrop with Steen landing right across the leg of AJ! It looks like his flying days are over.
CC: And now Steen is setting AJ up for something, perhaps he’s gonna put him away now…
CC: Steen with AJ up in the fireman’s carry…
CC: HOLY SHOOT! What an exchange there! Steen going for the F5, with Styles reversing it into a handstand headscissors takedown! Styles is in control now!
CC: WOW! Steen just got flattened! Styles with a backsuplex into a sitout facebuster! This could be over right now!
CC: This is Style’s opportunity…this next move could end it!
CC: Styles looking for a springboard here, which might be a mistake. He might not have the full force behind it after Steen worked over his legs.
CC: OH MY FREAKING SHOOT! PACKAGE PILEDRIVER! STEEN CAUGHT AJ OFF THE SPRINGBOARD AND JUST KILLED HIM! THAT WAS SICK!
CC: Steen goes for the cover, but this one is just over!
CC: And Kevin Steen advances to the semi-finals! Man, that was one of the sickest finishes I have ever seen! I know I say this after every match, but Steen might be a favorite to win this whole thing!
CC: Kevin Steen is now FIW, and it means good things for the fans, and bad things for the roster!
Also, whoever did your customs did a very good job. I don't care for Punk's hair, but that's me.
